Once again we’re putting out a call to all readers to submit pictures of your favorite neighborhood light setups. Good, bad, or ugly, if it captures the spirit of the season or can be seen from space, we want pictures.
Submit your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll post ‘em. Anybody who submits a picture will receive a free set of YORK BLVD. stickers*. Submit our favorite picture, and we’ll send you a “Carne Asada is not a Crime” t-shirt in the size of your choice.
Check out last year’s pictures and go out and take some for this year.
Also, check out this year’s 1st Glassell Park Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday the 12th. It will take place in the Rite-Aid parking lot at 6:30pm. There are promises of free entertainment, refreshments and even a visit from the big, jolly guy himself–and in the spirit of the holidays, I’ll even refrain from making any “Gloria Molina in a red dress” jokes. Sort of. For more info, call (323) 254-5295.
* Please give us your address at the time of submission if you want the stickers. One set per household/email address of course. There is nothing official about any of this contest, so assume all the normal rules apply and all that. Happy holidays!
